Paraguay: Traffic Termination with Personal Tariff Plans

New business green

Personal is the second largest mobile operator in Paraguay. Its share in the cellular communication sector is about 33%. Personal provides good GSM coverage, and at the same time, offers lower tariffs on calls than the market leader Tigo does. If you select the optimal package, you can use SIM-cards of this operator to profitably terminate calls.

Personal’s starter packages Prepago are sold in many outlets in Paraguay and cost $1.7 per piece. When the SIM-card is activated, the subscriber gets an initial credit of $7.1 that is valid within 7 days. With a standard tariff for calls of $0.26 per minute, these funds will be enough for 27 minutes of outgoing calls. In fact, the cost of purchasing SIM-cards is next to nothing, since you can use the original credit to connect the appropriate tariff plan.

The operator also has a line called Packs de Ahhoro de Llamado, which includes several packages. The most advantageous tariff plans for voice termination are as follows:

  • PACK ILIMITADO A PERSONAL. The cost is $0.9. The validity period is 24 hours. Includes 250 minutes to make on-net calls.
  • PACK EXTENDIDO DE LLAMADAS DE 2 DIAS. The cost is $0.5. The validity period is 48 hours. Includes 50 minutes to make on-net calls.
  • PACK EXTENDIDO DE LLAMADAS DE 4 DIAS. The cost is $1.25. The validity period is 4 days. Includes 500 minutes to make on-net calls.

PACK ILIMITADO A PERSONAL would be an optimal choice to make money on termination. Using it, one minute will cost a terminator $0.003. if you have your gsm gateway equipment running 250 minutes a day, your profit will be about $250 per channel.
