Madagascar: GSM Termination with Telma packages

gsm termination

Telma (Telecom Malagasy) is the second GSM operator in Madagascar in terms of the number of subscribers. As well as the market leader Airtel, it has heterogeneous GSM coverage throughout the country, so we recommend checking availability of a stable signal in the locality you choose before placing your GSM termination equipment there. In general, Telma cards will be a good choice for traffic landing.

To buy a SIM card at the operator’s store, you will need to present a copy of your passport. Therefore, it is recommended to start cooperation with a dealer who will supply you with a large number of cards, preferably already registered to someone. The price of the Telma starting plan at the store is the lowest - only 16 cents.

Telma’s subscribers who use prepaid mobile services can take advantage of a lucrative offer, such as Offre Tokana, Forfaits M'ora. Offre Tokana provides the following rates for calls: $0.17 per a minute within Telma network, $0.24 per a minute - to the numbers of other operators. It is quite expensive for profitable termination, so it is better to connect one of the packages of the Forfaits M'ora range.

All packages of this range provide such tariffs for calls: $0.01 per a minute within Telma network, $0.05 per a minute - to the numbers of other operators. There are several options for Forfaits M'ora:

  • 500. Connection fee — $0.16. A loan for the same amount is available and the money are transferred to your account right away. Validity term of the plan is 1 day.
  • 1000. Connection fee — $0.32. A loan for the same amount is provided and the money are transferred to your account right away. Validity term of the plan is 1 day.
  • 2000. Connection fee — $0.63. A loan for the same amount is available and the money are transferred to your account right away. Validity term of the plan is 2 days.
  • 5000. Connection fee — $1.57. A loan for the same amount is available and the money are transferred to your account right away. Validity term of this plan is 7 days.

We would recommend you choosing the Forfait M'ora 5000 package to work in voice only traffic termination area. With this package, your minimum earnings can amount to $450 from one port of the gateway (with termination for only 150 minutes a day).
