MTN is the largest GSM network in Zambia. The operator owns almost half of all the country's connections. 2G coverage is good throughout Zambia. Using a profitable tariff plan, you can successfully earn money on traffic termination with MTN SIM cards.
SIM cards of the operator are sold in company stores and in the streets. Unregistered cards are quickly blocked, so make an early arrangement with someone you can register the cards with. The cost of one starting plan is only $ 0.32, but the cards will cost more when buying from street vendors.
By default, MTN Call per Second tariff plan is connected to each MTN SIM card. It provides for per-second billing. The cost of a minute of call is $0.07 within the network and $0.08 to other networks (during rush hour); $0.03 within the network and $0.05 to other networks (during off-peak period). You can also connect the following tariff plans:
- MTN ANYTIME. Connection fee — $0.034. The call tariffs are the same as for the Call per Second plan ($0.07 within the network and $0.08 to other networks (during rush hour); $0.03 within the network and $0.05 to other networks (during off-peak period)). You can also make calls at a price of $0.04 per minute from 1100 pm to 0500 am.
