Republic of Chad: GSM Termination via Airtel Packages

If you plan to use GSM gateways to terminate GoIP traffic in the Republic of Chad, you should select a profitable tariff plan from a major cellular operator. Airtel Tchad provides the largest coverage of the mobile market. Its services are used by about 3.5 million people, which is about 69% of all connections in the country.

Prepaid offers from Airtel are called pre payé. There are two lines of tariff plans - Hallou and Marawai. Hallou, in turn, is divided into Local and Internationa. Local packages are suitable for termination as they provide a different number of minutes for local calls. The best one is Hallou 500, using which the subscriber gets 250 minutes for $8.66.

We take care of our customers, so we regularly prepare useful video clips that will help you deal with the service and solve the terminator’s current problems (e.g. SIM-card lock, reduction of business expenses, etc.). Sign up right now to be timely notified if there are new videos!

In addition to minutes and SMS, Marawai packages also include mobile Internet access services. Therefore, the same number of bonus minutes will cost more than via Hallou. It makes no sense to use such tariff plans for termination.

A SIM-card in the Republic of Chad costs over $1.7. Using the Hallou package, 500 minutes of conversation will cost $0.03. Accordingly, terminating 250 minutes a day, you will be able to make at least $700 per VoIP channel. The new SIM cards will have to be bought daily because if you use such a number of minutes per day, the cards will quickly be blocked by the AntiFraud systems. To prevent this from happening, we recommend connecting the equipment to GoAntiFraud a couple of hours after the numbers have been activated, in order to efficiently simulate human behavior in GSM networks.
