The Republic of Niger: Termination with Prepaid Airtel Packages

In the Republic of Niger, there is a high enough rate: $0.16 per minute on average, and low rates on local calls. Therefore, the termination of GSM gateway traffic in this country is quite a promising business direction. With a population of 21.7 million people, mobile penetration here is more than 40%. By purchasing a SIM card from a large local operator and connecting a cheap tariff plan, you will manage to get a high profit.

The Republic of Niger's largest mobile operator is Airtel. Its services are used by more than 4 million subscribers. In Niger, SIM-cards cost $1.8 and more. They are sold in branded communication stores, as well as in kiosks on the street. Airtel offers Combo packages for prepaid customers. They provide bonuses in the form of minutes and SMS for a fixed fee. In terms of earning money terminating voice traffic, we are only interested in bonus minutes. There are several 1-day packages:

  • FALLA. 4 minutes - 27 cents; 12 minutes - 55 cents; 50 minutes - 45 cents.
  • OGA. 35 minutes - 90 cents; 60 minutes - $1.36; 100 minutes - $1.82.

There are also COMBO's 1-month offers:

  • FALLA. 20 minutes - $1.82; 75 minutes - $5.45.
  • OGA. 150 minutes - $9; 400 minutes - $18; 700 minutes - $27.

The choice of a combined package depends on the amount of traffic that you plan to terminate via 1 channel. If you are going to use not many minutes, the daily 100-minute OGA will be good enough. Using it, one minute of the call will cost as little as $0.01. For more impressive amounts of traffic, you can connect OGA for 400 minutes for a month. Then one minute of the local call will cost $0.04. Accordingly, the minimum income of the terminator, who use Combo packages from Airtel, will be from 300 to 900 dollars. When you install voip pbx systems and multi-channel equipment, your profit will be increasing.
