Burkina Faso: Profitable Termination via Telmob Packages

As an African country that provides a rather high average rate ($0.15- $0.18 per minute), Burkina Faso is considered to be profitable for the VoIP wholesale sip termination. To obtain a high profit, you must choose the most profitable starting package with the minimum tariffs. SIM-cards of the largest operator Telmob will be an excellent choice.

The telecommunications companies Onatel and Maroc Telecom own the Telmob brand. Today, it is the largest GSM operator in Burkina Faso as about 7 million subscribers use its services. Its SIM-cards are sold in branded shops and in street kiosks; the cost is about 1 dollar.

Prepaid starter packets by default provide a standard call rate of 12 cents per minute for both on-net calls and the numbers of other operators. However, there are also more advantageous offers for voice communication. For example, the line of complex Libertis tariff plans, which include bonus minutes for calls, SMS, and mobile Internet traffic. There are 6 Libertis packages:

  • 1 hour of bonuses for calls: the subscription fee is $8;
  • 2 hours of bonuses for calls: the subscription fee is $16;
  • 3 hours of bonuses for calls: $23;
  • 4 hours of bonuses for calls: $31;
  • 5 hours of bonuses for calls: $38;
  • 10 hours of bonuses for calls: $77.

However, these tariff plans are not so advantageous for termination since the cost includes payment for bonus SMS and Internet, which we do not need. Therefore, pay attention to LES FORFAITS NANAN packages. There are only four of them:

  • 30 bonus minutes for 75 cents within 1 day;
  • 60 bonus minutes for $1.3 within 2 days;
  • 90 bonus minutes for $1.9 within 3 days;
  • 120 bonus minutes for $2.8 within 7 days.

The choice of a package from the LES FORFAITS NANAN line depends on the number of minutes you plan to terminate. The best option is 120 minutes for calls with a $2.8 subscription fee. Using the package, you can make over $300 via one channel of VoIP equipment if you terminate 120 minutes a day, taking into account the cost of SIM-cards. If you use a GSM gateway box that has more channels, you will earn more.

The originators offer 17 cents per minute for terminating Telmob traffic, on average. But it's important to remember that this operator has strong anti-fraud systems, so take care of proper protection of SIM-cards.
